Hello & welcome.
My name is Ayrïd Chandler. I am a branding designer, aspiring writer, part-time lecturer and ever curious student of life.
I run a one-woman firm called Ayrïd by Design in Port of Spain, Trinidad. While I'd never like to put myself in a box, I will admit that my design niche is branding. I enjoy not only creating new brands, but working with existing brands to meet their design needs. Some quick highlights/random facts: I graduated with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design Cum Laude from Savannah College of Art and Design, Atlanta in 2012. I worked in Atlanta for a short 3 months with an outdoor furniture design company called Atleisure before returning home. I've worked as a freelancer/contract worker for 6 years before registering my business in 2018. I design greeting cards using lyrics from songs native to Trinidad. In 2019, I had my theatrical debut as 'Mother' in Derek Walcott's Ti-Jean and His Brothers. I lived in Bali for a month with Unsettled. I am a part-time lecturer at the University of the West Indies, St Augustine teaching year-two design students. I've attended 5 writing workshops thanks to the NGC Bocas Lit Fest & the Writing Centre. I really love to travel. I have a mixed breed dog named George.
