One day I went to Maritime to get a pension for myself (since I'm a freelancer), I left with a publication design job. My sales agent was in charge of putting together the annual magazine for the CARIFA Congress 2015, so when we got to the part of filling out my form when I stated graphic designer as my job description, the questions started flowing. Thanks to technology, I had my portfolio on my phone and a month later, this magazine was complete. During the process, they provided me with images that could possibly go on the cover but we soon realized they were not good enough. Luckily, Kibwe Brathwaite had the perfect photo which ended up being used for the cover. It was a great experience having creative leeway while working for such a corporate client.
