Before I went off to college and became a graphic designer, I was a church girl, and more so, a church, choir girl. And even though I’m neither of those things anymore, I stay close to the family and friends I made during that time of my life. This is how I ended up being hired by the Archdiocesan Family Life Mission and Jubilee Catholic Community to brand an initiative and conference called Consider This! whose main goal is to educate the general public regarding the harmful effects of pornography, specifically as it relates to children and the family. I accepted the challenge, and pulled my inspiration from their tagline: A National Conversation, to create the logo. I used typography to portray what I could not do with imagery by allowing the “This!” to be personal, scripted, rough on the edges as a way of reflecting all that is connected with and the discussions around the topic.
Consider This!
Identity Design and Branding designed for Consider This!. It is a long-term, multi-phase project that is designed to ensure ongoing awareness and action against the harmful effects of pornography on our nation's children and families. This branding was done for their conference "Consider This! A National Conversation" held October 2016.
